Palawa is a census town in Katkamsandi (community development block) of Hazaribag district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

As per 2011 Census of India Palawa had a population of 14,848. There were 7,701 males and 7,147 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 361 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 32.
