History

The club founded as Penilee B.C. in Penilee a suburb of Glasgow winning three years after the founding the Scottish Cup with repeating youth teams in 1970 and 1975. In the seventies the club moved to Paisley, west of Scotland and won the national title in 1979 and two Scottish Cups in 1977 and 1978. In these years Paisly participated to the editions of the FIBA European Cup Winner's Cup in 1973-74 meeting Sparta Bertrange and of FIBA Korać Cup in 1974-75 meeting YMCA España from Madrid.

Paisley participated at the beginning of the Scottish Men's National League until the end of the 90s, but the decline of those years led to the merger in 2006 with the Gators in Glasgow company called PSG Gators Basketball Club or briefly Paisley Gators. After the merger with the Gators the formation shifted the regional league of Strathclyde League Basketball Association.
