Location
Padiyoor is between the towns of Iritty and Irikkur. Padiyoor main town situated near the reservoir of Pazhassi Dam. It is one of the main town prior to Irikkur from Iritty (SH 40 - Iritty-Talipparamba Highway). Padiyoor Town is the center of all Panchayat activities and the Panchayat Headquarters are situated here. It is situated exactly at 6 km from Iritty and 10 km from Iirikkur.
Transportation
The national highway passes through Taliparamba town. Mangalore and Mumbai can be accessed on the northern side and Cochin and Thiruvananthapuram can be accessed on the southern side. The road to the east connects to Mysore and Bangalore. The nearest railway station is Kannur on Mangalore-Palakkad line. There are airports at Mangalore and Calicut.
