The Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre (OIFC) is a not for profit public-private initiative of Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) established in 2007 providing investment know-how and business facilitation services to Non-Resident Indian and Person of Indian Origin, with the active support of its Knowledge Partners, which are firms specialising in the areas of foreign investment consulting, regulatory approvals, market research, joint venture partner identification, project financing, accounting, taxation, legal and portfolio investments.

Mandate

The mandate of OIFC is to,

  • Promote Overseas Indian investments into India and facilitate business partnerships
  • Establish and maintain a Diaspora Knowledge Network
  • Function as a clearing house for all investment related information
  • Assist Indian States to project investment opportunities
  • Provide advisory services to PIOs and NRIs
  • Knowledge partners and state partners

    The Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre works with several knowledge partners and state partners to provide information and assistance to NRIs and PIOs interested in investing in India.
