The 27th annual la stage alliance ovation awards
The Ovation Awards are a Southern California award for excellence in theatre, established in 1989. They are given out by the non-profit arts service organization LA STAGE Alliance and are the only peer-judged theatre awards in Los Angeles. They have been called the "...highest-profile contest for local theatre..." by The Los Angeles Times.

Eligibility
- LA STAGE Alliance Membership
- Produced solely or as co-production for Los Angeles (not a touring production)
- Minimum of 12 performances in a 99-seat venue; minimum of 6 performances in a 100-seat or larger venue
- Not on "strike list"
- 50% performers are AEA; or one AEA member and SDC director, or Dramatists Guild playwright. For world premieres, minimum of two AEA performers and an AEA stage manager.
- Performers paid at least $25 per performance, designers paid at least $500, and director paid at least $1,000.
- Producing entity must have been in Los Angeles at least three years, and must have produced at least three full productions (12 performances) during last three years (one per year).
