An Oracle User Group is a private, generally non-profit or not-for-profit organization that provides support and education for users of Oracle Corporation technology, particularly for professional users, however student user groups have also been established.

The Oracle user groups often hold conferences, publish periodicals and survey members to provide real data back to Oracle.

International Oracle User Council

International Oracle User Council IOUC, an international organization, represents the collective interests of the affiliated Oracle Global User Groups / Councils.

Some of the representative Oracle Global User Groups are:

  • UK Oracle User Group (UKOUG)
  • Independent Oracle User Group (IOUG)
  • Oracle Applications User Group (OAUG)
  • Oracle Development Tools User Group (ODTUG)
  • Oracle Human Capital Management (OHUG)
  • Quest International Users Group - Traditionally supports PeopleSoft and JD Edwards users.
  • Higher Education User Group (HEUG)
  • Two umbrella organizations also exist in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and APAC (Asia Pacific) regions:

  • EMEA Oracle Usergroup Community (EOUC)
  • Asia Pacific Oracle User Group (APOUG)
  • They in their turn aggregate a number of in-region country-based groups.
