In the run-up to the next Italian general election, various organisations have been carrying out opinion polling to gauge voting intention.

Results of such opinion polls are displayed in this article. The date range is from after the previous general election, held on 24–25 February 2013, to the present day.

Graphical summary

The chart shows the relative state of the parties from 25 February 2013 to the date the next election is presumably held.

Each line's colour corresponds to a political party:

Party vote

Poll results are listed in reverse chronological order, showing the most recent first.

The highest percentage figure in each polling survey is displayed in bold and the background is shaded in the leading party's colour. In the instance that there is a tie, no figure is shaded. The lead column on the right shows the percentage-point difference between the two parties with the highest figures. Poll results use the date the fieldwork was done, as opposed to the date of publication. However, if such date is unknown, the date of publication will be given instead.

Forza Italia's numbers prior to 16 November 2013 refer to the party's predecessor, The People of Freedom, which at its dissolution suffered the split of the New Centre-Right. Since the 2014 European Parliament election most opinion polls have included the Union of the Centre with the New Centre-Right; the two parties broke their alliance (Popular Area) in December 2016, but several polls still calculate them together. Since December 2014 results for Lega Nord have included its sister party Us with Salvini. Since November 2015 Left Ecology Freedom started to be polled as Italian Left, before finally be merged into it in February 2017. In the same month splinters from the Democratic Party and the Italian Left formed the Democrats and Progressives, while other leftists launched the Progressive Camp. In March 2017 New Centre-Right was dissolved and Popular Alternative party was founded.
