Hubspot customer spotlight omprompt

OmPrompt Limited delivers an automated solution to the problem of different file formats when exchanging data and messages between companies, from when an order is placed to when suppliers are paid. OmPrompt focuses its Customer Automation Management solution on companies within Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), as well as Healthcare or Medical Device, technological goods manufacturers, and logistics. The customer base of these companies tends to be very diverse in terms of size, business systems used, data formats and ordering procedures used. Taking into consideration their extended supply chain community (logistics providers, ancillary service providers), the complexity of transaction processing increases manifold.

Contents

OmPrompt’s Customer Automation Management software enables their customers to release staff from the very time-consuming task of processing messages manually. Typically this has allowed these members of staff to focus on improving customer relationships by managing exceptions: deliveries that were not received on time and in full, upselling and cross-selling and generally allowing for better customer service as the people become more customer-facing. OmPrompt allows staff to spend more time on front office tasks, and significantly less time on back office tasks.

History of OmPrompt

Brian Bolam founded the company in 2002. It was originally called Sparhurst Limited, and was renamed OmPrompt Limited on 6 June 2003. The name is short for OmniProtocolMessagingPlatform which is a way of describing how OmPrompt (the platform) helps translate data (messages) from any format to any other format (omni-protocol).

How it works

OmPrompt’s Customer Automation solution has four elements that underpin the technology:

  • Multi-Format Support: The platform automatically extracts data from documents that would normally be processed manually, and can transform them into any other format.
  • Business Rules Processing: Every transaction is governed by business rules, and these are built into the message processing platform.
  • Reference Data Validation: All data within transactions are compared with the customer’s reference data to ensure accuracy.
  • Exception Management: If there is an error in a customer order, the platform manages and processes exceptions.
