The Olympia Woodland Trail in Washington connects the cities of Olympia and Lacey with a 2.5 mile linear trail and park along the abandoned Burlington Northern corridor. Jim and Carol Rainwood suggested in 1990 that the trail be constructed, and formed the Woodland Trail Greenway Association who contributed time and resources to trail development. The planned trail would link Thurston County, Tumwater, Lacey, and Olympia, and connect east Olympia with west. The trail opened in 2007.

Contents
