Christopher Olumuyiwa Aboluwoye (born August 8, 1961) is a Nigerian professor of Chemistry at Adekunle Ajasin University. He specialized in Physical chemistry, Analytical chemistry, Protein structure and folding.

Early life and career

Aboluwoye was born on August 1961 in Akure, the capital of Ondo State southwestern Nigeria. He attended Anglican Grammar School, Ijare where he obtained the West African School Certificate in 1978. He obtained a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Ibadan in 1984, master's degree in 1986 and doctorate degree in Chemistry from the same university. He joined the services of Adekunle Ajasin University in 1989 and rose to the position of Associate professor in 1998 and in 2003, he was appointed a professor. In 2004, he became a member of the University Governing Council, the same year he was appointed the Dean of the Faculty of Science, a position he held for four years. On April 2008, he was appointed, the National Chairman, Committee of Deans of Science in Nigerian Universities, a position he held till date. In 2007, he led the group that campaign for Ibrahim Babangida, the former military head of states. He served as director of research at Adekunle Ajasin University. on August 23, 2007, he delivered the 3rd Adekunle Ajasin University inaugural lecture titled "Chemistry on earth as it is in heaven".
