Olaide Olaogun was born in Lagos State. At age 5, She joined the church Drama group and the church Choir. Her mother gave her full support helping her through her drama scripts and supported her financially. Olaide went through Starfield Schools in Lagos State for her Nursery and Primary education. She was the Vice- President of Press Club and the leader of the Atilogwu Dance group in school. She then attended African Church Model College Ifako, Lagos for her Junior Secondary School education where she was a member of the School Choir and finally to Royal Crown Comprehensive High School Iju, Lagos for her Senior Secondary education where she was the leader of the school's Principal's Choir and the Vice- President of Press Club. In 2003, she participated in the school peagent where she won the Miss Royal Crown Prize. Being a beauty queen, she was used consistently for three(3) years as the Miss Yellow House Queen during inter-house sports, also represented the school in debate competitions. She also earned a badge as the school’s Social Prefect 2002/03 session. Olaogun later earned a degree in English language from Lagos State University.

She started a career in entertainment with acting in 2005 as an actress and later moved on to modeling and presenting.

In 2007, Olaogun won the Face of Lux beauty in right after Genevieve Nnaji. Olaogun represented the brand (Lux) as its Ambassador in the year 2007-2008. After signing a contract with Unilever Nigeria plc as Lux beauty Ambassador in 2007/2008 She modelled for United Bank for Africa in 2008. By 2005/2006, she had done a TV commercial for Fumman Fruit Juice and modelled for Wale Adenuga Production.

2009/2010 saw her on the pack of Diva Weavon where she was again the face of the brand.

Acting

Olaogun has featured in movies alongside Bimbo Akintola, Olu Jacobs, Funke Akindele, Ramsey Noah, Kalu Ikeagwu, Jide Kosoko, Kehinde Bankole, Kunle Afolayan among others. In June 2005, Olaogun decided on a movie career. Starting off with Wale Adenuga TV Soap Super story, she played a sub-leading role as Racheal in ‘Omoye’, she has continued to bag major roles in movies. Barely six months into her acting career, she gained admission into the higher institution, having to combine studies and movies. By late 2005, she played her first lead role as Juliet in ‘A new Song’, and another lead role in a movie titled ‘Elulu tofajo’.

In 2006, she took on the role of Wuraola in ‘Lion of Mogun’, and lead role in ‘Odu’. 2007 was when she played as lead actress in ‘Everything it takes’, which came out as a TV Soap under Wale Adenuga Production and also as Home Video. ‘Elerin Eye’ and ‘Eleburu Ike’, are block busting movies where she played Mopelola and Bunmi.

In 2009, she majored in a movie project title ‘Atehinbo’ as a rape victim. A story set against the backdrop of a lawless society and reprisal of victims rather than the culprits.

In 2010 she took on the lead role as Tokunbo Babs Oshodi in ‘Hands of a Stranger’ and role of Ego in ‘The Promise’ which is after she starred as Itohan in Mnet TV Series ‘Tinsel’. Olaogun received an Award at the 2010 TIMA Awards(The Indigenous Movie Awards) as Best Female Discovery.

‘Memuna Gbaji’, ‘Still in Love’ are other movies she has starred in and is still doing great in the industry.

She also works with the largest Ship building company in the world Hyundai Heavy Industries in Lagos Nigeria.

Television

Olaogun began Soul Sisters Show on TV in 2009 alongside Kehinde Bankole and Sylvia Udeogu a show which garnered her a nomination as the best TV Presenter award at the 2009 Peak Awards. Soul Sisters show got a recognition, listed amongst Eleven Nigerian TV Programmes that could be regarded as Top of the range. In 2011, Olaogun was Awarded the best Presenter of the year at the 2011 Peak Awards In a 2010 interview, she stated that natural acting talents are important and attached with getting roles based on merit.

Personal life

Olaide Olaogun married Babatunde Ojora-Emmanuel in 2015. Her son was born on May 6, 2016 at Henry Ford Hospital, Michigan.
