Oktyabrsky District, Orenburg Oblast

Oktyabrsky District (Russian: Октя́брьский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-five in Orenburg Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,700 square kilometers (1,000 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Oktyabrskoye. Population: 20,018 (2010 Census); 22,005 (2002 Census); 22,180 (1989 Census). The population of Oktyabrskoye accounts for 38.5% of the district's total population.
