In September 2016, James Vasanthan announced that he would make a film featuring actresses Raadhika, Kushboo, Suhasini and Urvashi in the leading roles. The film began its shoot during September 2016 in Melbourne, Australia. Latha Hegde, previously seen in Kannada films, also joined the cast and shot for the film in Melbourne during October 2016. Certain scenes of the film required to be shot in and around Avalon Airport, while the film would feature the first Australian Rules Football scenes in an Indian film for the first time. In November 2016, James Vasanthan revealed that the four actresses would play characters from their yesteryear films, who would re-embark on a trip to Australia. Suhasini's Sindhu from Sindhu Bhairavi (1985), Raadhika's Radha from Rettai Vaal Kuruvi (1987), Urvashi's Thiripurasundari from Michael Madana Kama Rajan (1990) and Kushboo's Meena from Mannan (1992) would be the characters reprised.
