The Office of Advocacy is part of the Small Business Administration in the U.S. Federal Government. It aids business and has its head nominated by the president and appointed by the U.S. Senate. The current head of the agency, the Chief Counsel for Advocacy, is Winslow Sargeant, who was a recess appointment by Barack Obama.
