Octalux is an American rock band, formed in 1999 by Brandon Hurley, Shane Morrow, Steven Grant and Lance Abbot. The current lineup consists of Brandon Hurley, David Fite, and Chase Gabbard.

History

In 2004, Octalux released A World of Hurt, a record produced by David Angstrom of Hermano (band) and Supafuzz for Mine's Bigger Than Yours Records.

In 2009, Octalux released their 4th studio album, No Apologies for Broken Hearts, on Oarfin Records. Octalux signed a distribution deal with Blastzone Entertainment Group in the same year.

  • Bronze Addy Award - Instrumental Composition (song: "Electric Sex"), National radio advertisement award
  • Placed 3rd, in Clear Channel Lake Cumberland 2008 Battle of the Bands (placed 3rd out of 32 bands)
  • CD of the Year 2005 (Loud, Fast & Awesome), by radio station in Lexington, KY
  • Voted top 600 band in America 2007, during Bodogs Battle of the Bands
  • Placed 2nd, ZRock Battle of the Bands 2007, in Z103 (Lexington, KY) Battle of the Bands
  • Placed 2nd, Eastern Kentucky University Battle of the Bands
  • Members of Octalux have opened up for major touring acts, including: Jackyl, L.A. Guns, and Joey Belladona.
