Octa Markets Incorporated (OctaFX) is an online forex broker. It provides services in over 100 countries around the world. The company operates with electronic trading platforms like MetaTrader 4 and cTrader.

History

OctaFX was registered in 2011 in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. In 2012, the company started to expand, and moved its operating center to Jakarta, Indonesia. The company`s target market is Asia, but the customer base is spread in over 100 countries. In 2015, the company announced to establish the office in London.

Initially, the official website was provided in English. In 2013, the site was translated into Bahasa Indonesia and into Mandarin Chinese, and one year later, the services was also provided in Bahasa Melayu. In 2014, Spanish and Portuguese versions of the site was offered to its customers.

In 2012, OctaFX provided 4 account deposit options for customers: bank wire, liberty reserve, perfect money, visa/masterCard. Later, OctaFX started to offer local deposit in Malaysia in Indonesia, extended its partnership in China by cooperating with China Unionpay cards. Besides bank and internal transfers, the company is offering electronic payments options like NETELLER and Skrill.

OctaFX`s first trading platform was MetaTrader 4. In 2014, the company offered cTrader trading platform. In 2016, OctaFX added the Metatrader 5 platform. Based on the trading platforms, three account types are offered, ranging from Micro to Mini for beginners, and to ECN for advanced traders. OctaFX received eleven different awards from 2012 to 2015.

Regulatory framework

OctaFX is regulated by the authorities of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines under the International Business Companies Act. OctaFX is licensed and regulated by the Caribbean's Financial Services Authority (FSA). In 2015, it has been granted a regulatory licence by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in Britain.

Trading platforms

OctaFX operates with electronic trading platforms MetaTrader 4 and cTrader, it offers MetaTrader 4 micro and ECN trading accounts as well as ECN trading account for cTrader platform.

FX Empire named OctaFX the Best Customer Service Broker.
  • In 2014, Global Banking and Finance awarded OctaFX the Best ECN Broker Asia. In the same year, the company was awarded as the Best Broker Eastern Europe and the Best Broker Central Asia by Forex Report Magazine. FX Empire granted the Most Reliable Broker award to OctaFX.
