Ochlocknee is located at 30°58′31″N 84°3′20″W (30.975409, -84.055425).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.3 km2), of which, 0.9 square miles (2.3 km2) of it is land and 1.05% is water.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 605 people, 230 households, and 164 families residing in the town. The population density was 641.7 people per square mile (248.5/km²). There were 270 housing units at an average density of 286.4 per square mile (110.9/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 65.95% White, 32.07% African American, 0.33% Native American, 0.99% Asian, and 0.66% from two or more races.
There were 230 households out of which 27.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.8% were married couples living together, 13.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.3% were non-families. 26.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.61 and the average family size was 3.18.
In the town, the population was spread out with 25.3% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 27.3% from 25 to 44, 22.1% from 45 to 64, and 16.5% who were 65 years of age or older.
