Oceans Ate Alaska are a British metalcore band from Birmingham, formed in 2011 and signed to Fearless Records.

History

Oceans Ate Alaska Oceans Ate Alaska Genius

Oceans Ate Alaska signed to Density Records in 2012, a year after their formation in 2011. They have released two EPs with the label. In 2014, the band signed to Fearless Records. The band was featured on Fearless Records' compilation album Punk Goes Pop 6, covering "Drunk in Love" by Beyoncé.

On 7 October 2014 the band released a new song "Blood Brothers", on 6 January 2015, the band released the second single "Floorboards", announcing the release of their debut album Lost Isles for 24 February 2015.

On 26 January 2015 the band released the music video for the third single "Vultures and Sharks".

The band was also confirmed to be playing the entire 2016 Vans Warped Tour.

On 16 December 2016 the band announced on their Facebook that they were going into the studio to record their second album. They also announced that they had parted ways with vocalist James Harrison. On 1 February 2017 the band officially announced their new lead vocalist, Jake Noakes.
