Demographics
As of the 2010 United States Census, there were 889 people residing in the town. The racial makeup of the town was 97.4% White, 1.0% Black, 0.1% Native American and 0.2% Asian. 1.2% were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
As of the census of 2000, there were 727 people, 264 households, and 218 families residing in the town. The population density was 92.3/km² (239.0/mi²). There were 282 housing units at an average density of 35.8/km² (92.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 99.04% White, and 0.96% from two or more races.
There were 264 households out of which 37.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.6% were married couples living together, 6.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.4% were non-families. 15.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.75 and the average family size was 3.07.
