The text can be divided into four strophes (S = 1, 2, 3, 4), each stroph into three tunes (T = A, B, C), where each tune is sung twice (iteration I = α, β). What follows is rendered in Classical Chinese, the official written language used throughout the Northeast Asia up until 19th century, much in the way Latin was adopted in formal contexts in the Western Europe before the Renaissance.
