The Ministry of Health and Welfare is in charge of health laws and regulations in Taiwan, Nursing is a licensed profession in Taiwan(ROC) with specialist education for nurses.

Nursing education

  • Currently there is three types of nurse educational way in Taiwan,for those student after they graduate,still need one more national exam for the official nursing license,for advance training after acquire working experience,there is professional nursing license on individual region.(health care,EMR)
  • Advanced licensing

  • After acquire two years of working experience, licensee nurses may assigning for advanced training course,which gain the person a specialist license(kanji:專科護理師),such as burn nursing, anesthesia nursing, and surgery nursing.there is also nursing management(kanji:醫務管理) license.
  • This kind of specialist licensee,will gain permission to nurse,allow them to execute action which original only available to doctor, this kind of power include medication order(kanji:醫囑)
  • School health nursing

    School nurse (kanji:校護)are specifically focus on school,in responsible of student health caring,wound treatment,staff health advice.
    in below list contain the basic task for school nurse

    1. Disease prevention and control
    2. with each semester start,go thought the student health examination
    3. Staff health check
    4. Specific disease case management(such as tuberculosis)
    5. Basic wound therapy
    6. teach emergency medical services technical to student(EMB,CPR)

  • 2016-07-04 the nurse in Taiwan endure for over time working and low payment,recent government spend over 200millions dollars on payment improvement,but than group wo cao(kanji:沃草)report back most money throwing into overtime pay,which mean it's didn't improve actually payment.
