Company information

Nursefinders started in 1974, and since then has often changed hands.

In 1997, the company was sold by the Personnel Group of America to an investment group for $65.25 million.

In 1999, John and Rhonda Dunn opened the Knoxville, TN Branch of Nursefinders.

In 2003, Robert E. Livonius became the CEO. He replaced Michael Sinclair, who had been the acting CEO since 2002. Both had been with the company for longer in other roles.

In 2007, the company was purchased by Miami-based National Healthcare Staffing.

In 2010, the company was acquired by San Diego-based AMN Healthcare Services for $220 million.

In 2012, the company-owned locations of Nursefinders Home Care, the home health division of the company, was acquired by BAYADA Home Health Care of Moorestown, New Jersey for $9.6 million.
