Manga first impressions nurse hitomi s monster infirmary

Nurse Hitomi's Monster Infirmary (ヒトミ先生の保健室, Hitomi-sensei no Hokenshitsu) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Shake-O. It follows the daily life and adventures of Nurse Hitomi, a cyclops who works as a school nurse, and her co-workers and students dealing with their human (and not-so-human) problems.

Contents

Nurse Hitomi's Monster Infirmary is published in Japan by Tokuma Shoten in their Monthly Comic Ryū magazine, and by Seven Seas Entertainment in the United States.

Plot

A school nurse's job is to take care of check-ups, injuries, and many other problems that students may have. Nurse Hitomi does this, but she also deals with far more extraordinary problems. She helps her patients and their abnormal bodies as they deal with everything from insecurities about their appearance, limbs that just won't stay attached and even shrinking spurts. But no matter what the problem is, Nurse Hitomi tries her best to help them.

Characters

Dr. Hitomi (瞳先生, Hitomi-sensei)
The main character of the manga. She is a cyclops with a job as a school nurse.
Nobuko Shitara (設楽伸子, Shitara Nobuko)
The Long-Tongued Girl. One of Nurse Hitomi's patients. She comes to the infirmary to seek help after her tongue uncontrollably grows to 320.5 cm in length.

Release

Shake-O began publishing the series in Tokuma Shoten's Monthly Comic Ryū magazine on 19 September 2013. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the series for publication in North America.

The series has been collected into four tankōbon volumes, three of which have been republished in English.

Reception

Lynzee Loveridge ranked the series at number five on her list of "7 Manga for Monster Girl Lovers" on Anime News Network.
