Nowra Sandstone

Nowra Sandstone occurs in the Sydney Basin in eastern Australia. Formed in the late Permian, the rock strata is up to 90 metres thick. The popular bushwalking areas of Pigeon House Mountain and the Budawangs feature this rock type.
