Andy Kellman for AllMusic notes, in addition to Trainor's number-one single, "All About the Bass", Now! 52 features six selections which "had already peaked within the Top Ten" when the album was released, but also mentions the series' continued attempts to give a "boost to some developing artists and under-performing singles".
