The Nova Pheron is an Austrian single-place paraglider that was designed by Hannes Papesch and produced by Nova Performance Paragliders of Innsbruck. It is now out of production.

Design and development

The aircraft was designed as an intermediate glider. The models are each named for their relative size.

Variants

Pheron S
Small-sized model for light pilots. Its 11.47 m (37.6 ft) span wing has a wing area of 22.8 m2 (245 sq ft), 39 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.04:1. The pilot weight range is 75 to 95 kg (165 to 209 lb). The glider model is DHV 1 and AFNOR Standard certified.
Pheron M
Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its 11.97 m (39.3 ft) span wing has a wing area of 24.8 m2 (267 sq ft), 39 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.04:1. The pilot weight range is 85 to 105 kg (187 to 231 lb). The glider model is DHV 1 and AFNOR Standard certified.
Pheron L
Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its 12.59 m (41.3 ft) span wing has a wing area of 27.1 m2 (292 sq ft), 39 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.04:1. The pilot weight range is 95 to 125 kg (209 to 276 lb). The glider model is DHV 1 and AFNOR Standard certified.
