  • Principal: Ed Campbell
  • Assistant Principal: Todd Hammond
  • Assistant Principal: Lorrie Barber
  • Custodians

North Layton has two full-time custodians and eight part-time custodians. The head custodian of 30+ years is Kevin Barker.

    Sports

North Layton students compete at the junior high-middle school level. This means that they compete with other schools in their district and nowhere else.

  • Girls' volleyball (Aug.-Oct.)
  • Boys' basketball (Nov.-Dec.)
  • Girls' basketball (Jan.-Feb.)
  • Boys' wrestling (March–April)
  • Boys' and girls' track (April–May)
  • North Layton does not have a football, baseball, or soccer team. The Davis School District implemented a policy in the 1970s stating that no junior high or middle schools in the district are allowed to have football, soccer, or baseball teams due to the physical injury risk. Once students reach the 9th grade they are registered at Layton High School, Northridge High School or Clearfield High School and may participate in the aforementioned sports, but still attend classes in the North Layton Jr. High buildings.

In the 2001 wrestling season, the Longhorn boys' wrestling team was both Davis District Champions and Northend champions. They were led by Coach Tim Porter.

    Extra-curricular

The school's extra-curricular activities include Student Government, National Junior Honor Society, National Academic League, Science Olympiad, MESA, School Musicals, Advanced Choir, Jazz Band, FLL and Cheerleading.

    Renovations and additions

In 1995 portable classrooms were added to the west and front of the school to accommodate growing class sizes.

A new wing was added in 2000, adjacent to the gymnasium.

Uniform policies were adopted in 1998. They were discontinued at the end of the 2013-2014 year.
