  • Controversy

On 3 May 2013, Ahmed Rehab, a Muslim journalist for the Chicago Monitor, reported on his blog that he found a NobleWorks Inc. greeting card in a local store which featured a hijab-wearing doll and captions such as, "Hope your birthday is a blow out!" The doll featured in the greeting card is an educational doll, Aamina. On his blog, Rehab described the find as "troubling", and Rehab's find was subsequently reported to the Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) office in Chicago.

This blog post occurred soon after the twin bombing incident in Boston, Massachusetts.
