So long lovey eyes toadies

No Deliverance is the third studio album by Toadies. It was released August 19, 2008 on Kirtland Records. No Deliverance was released seven years after the band's previous album, Hell Below/Stars Above.

Contents

First news of the album came with a few videos posted onto YouTube from a fan who had apparently sneaked into the band's rehearsal space. Whether this was legitimately true, or some cleverly orchestrated publicity stunt, the videos appear to contain audio from the new album (videos can be seen here: 1 on YouTube, 2 on YouTube, 3 on YouTube).

On May 30, a 22-second clip of the title track "No Deliverance" was posted onto the album website. On June 19, the entire track was made available streaming on Spin Magazine Online.

"Song I Hate" was the second single released from the album.

Variations

The album was released on CD, vinyl and for digital download. While all versions featured ten tracks, the iTunes release included a bonus eleventh track, a cover of The Cure's "A Forest". The vinyl edition was purported to contain an extended version of the song "Hell In High Water", but this has proven to be false, as neither the record itself nor the free digital download of the album available through an included one-time use download code clock in at over four minutes in length. Two retail stores had specials for those who pre-ordered the album. Those who pre-ordered through Newbury Comics received an autographed CD booklet, while those who pre-ordered it through f.y.e. received an autographed poster.
