Nittaki Station (日立木駅, Nittaki-eki) is a railway station on the Joban Line in Sōma, Fukushima, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company.

Lines

Nittaki Station is served by the Joban Line, and is located 301.0 km from the official starting point of the line at Nippori in Tokyo. However, due to damage to the line caused by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, trains from Nittaki are able to travel only as far as Sōma Station to the north and Haranomachi Station to the south. Full services are not expected to resume until after 2017.

Station layout

Nittaki Station has a single side platform and an island platform connected to the station building by a footbridge. However, at present platform 3 is not in use. The station is unattended.

History

Nittaki Station opened on 15 August 1922. The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of the Japanese National Railways (JNR) on April 1, 1987.
