Nir Eyal's book, Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products, was published by Portfolio on November 4, 2014, and debuted on the Wall Street Journal business best-seller list. "Hooked" made several "best of" lists, including being named one of the best business books of the year by Goodreads, and the best marketing book of the year by 1800CEOREAD. Nir is an Israeli-born American now residing in Silicon Valley, California. Nir co-founded two start-ups. The first, Sunshine Business Development, was acquired in 2007. The second, AdNectar, received venture funding from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and was acquired in 2011.
Nir holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a BA from Emory University.
