Nipawin Bible College, incorporated as Two Rivers Bible Institute (TRBI), was founded in 1934 at the height of the Great Depression. Its first campus was located at the fork where the Leather River joins with the Carrot River. In 1957, after several years of damaging floods, the school relocated to its present campus 1-mile (1.6 km) south of Nipawin, Saskatchewan.

NBC offers programs from 1–4 years. Available programs are Foundations For Life, Christian Ministry Diploma, Bachelor of Christian Ministry, Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry, and Certificate of Selected Studies.

One Year

Foundations For Life The Foundations For Life program is designed as a foundational discipleship year, which will equip the student with a solid Biblical basis from which to pursue a career, vocational training, or university studies. The focus is on personal Christian growth, a foundational understanding of the Bible, and life application.

Two Years

Christian Ministry Diploma This program is designed for those who anticipate ministry in their local church or simply want a solid base for further vocational training. The focus is on knowledge of the Scriptures, appreciation for the local church, and skill development for church ministry.

Three Years

Bachelor of Christian Ministry The BCM program offers students a degree of specialization in their studies. There are two minors to choose from: General Studies or Missions. The program objectives are: a competent knowledge of Scripture, and attitude of servant leadership, and skill development for Christian ministry.

Four Years

Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies The Biblical Studies major is designed for individuals desiring to develop their Biblical training for Christian Ministry. This program will equip the student with sound Bible knowledge and provide a base for those wishing to pursue further studies.

Bachelor of Arts in Christian Leadership This program is designed for those anticipating involvement in pastoral ministry, in "people helping" ministry, or in youth ministry. The student will be further equipped to understand and communicate God's Word, counsel and nurture others, and provide Christ-like leadership.

Additional Ministry Offerings

Freshmen Missions Practicum (FMP) In the second semester all Freshmen students participate in a week and a half long missions trip to a First Nations context working alongside ministry veterans. Exposure to First Nations ministry will provide students with an appreciation for the needs that exist and what it takes to minister in cross-cultural contexts. This intense missions experience teaches students what it means to work as a team to be successful in ministry.

Outreach Ministry Practicum (OMP) Each January the second year students go on a two week missions trip to Vancouver. This powerful experience helps to reveal the broad needs and ministry opportunities in urban and inner city contexts. Students work with various organizations, each focused on a unique aspect of ministry to those in need of the love of Christ.

Student Ministry All students participate in Student Ministry on a regular basis. Student Ministry gives you the opportunity to put your classroom training to practical use. It is also an opportunity for you to begin discovering ways in which God can use you. Some of the types of Student Ministry include: youth, seniors visitation, teaching Sunday School, kids’ clubs in public schools, residence assistants (RA’s), and NBC music & drama teams. on ministry helps put classroom theory into practice.
