Nilothi is a Rich village of Shokeen Gotra of Jats, near Nangloi Jat, National Highway-10, Delhi. The whole village drives its lineage from a single father Ch.Hukum singh shokeen who received Nilothi in partition and his elder brother got Nangloi as his part. Hukum singh Shokeen settled in Nilothi in 1405. The Jats of this village are further divided into four families. The written history of the village is available with the Bhaatt, a clan of Brahmins, who have been entrusted the job of writing history. The village is 14800 bhigha.

This rich village has produced one Member of Parliament and a many times councillor, Ch. Bharat Singh Shokeen (d. 19 April 2008), ex M.P. Outer Delhi (1984–89) and one Member of Legislative Assembly namely Sh. Manoj Shokeen. Now a day A Young Boy has been elected for Youth (PRESIDENT) Namely Rohit Shokeen NSUI , this village have a block president of national congress party namely MUKESH SHOKEEN of nilothi ward 32

Nilothi Extension

Nilothi Extension is a group of colonies (residents of which are of all community but mainly Sikh and punjabis settling and living here in perfect harmony) near Nilothi. The people started settling here as early as 1984. The colonies are divided by a road of 3 kilometers starting and ending between Sayed Nangloi and Nilothi villages. Development started in 1984 which includes, Tek Chand Colony, Vikas Vihar, Abchal Nagar I -II, Arya nagar, Bharat Vihar, kanjar Vihar, Deepak Vihar, Dalip Vihar,Defence Enclave, Gram Sabha Colony, Guru Nanak Vihar, Gurunanank Enclave, Guru Gobindsingh nagar, kanjar Enclave, Hukum Vihar, Kanhaya Nagar, Meera Kunj, Mahavir Enclave, New Har Kishan Nagar, Nihal Vihar phase 2, Ranjit Vihar, Shiv Enclave, Teacher (Shikshak) Vihar, Uday Vihar part I, II,III,IV,M blocks and Vikaspuri Extension.

Geography

The geographical situation of Nilothi and Nilothi Extension is best approachable with four side entries. 1) From Sayed Nangloi Village, 2)from Vikaspuri H Block, 3) from Najafgarh road Nangloi and 4) from Hastsal Village (Uttamnagar side). The famous singer Daler Mehndi has a farm house here and resides here most of the time.

There is a temple in the village near the Pradhan market which is constructed with the funds collected from villagers.

It is having one Ashram of Sant Thakur Singh Ji Maharaj in the last three decades. Not only Indians, but people from foreign countries are coming here to listen Holy Satsang from ancestors of Thakur singh ji Maharaj.
