Early life
Nikkil Murugan born C.N Murugan on 23 March 1967 in Chennai is a native of Tirunelveli. Inspired by iconic journalist from Bengal Nikil Chakravarthy & his own grandfather T.S Chockalingam first editor of the Tamil Newspaper Dinamani, Nikkil Murugan entered the film industry as a journalist after completing a Diploma in Journalism from the University of Mysore. Being a peoples person helped him become a reporter in magazines like ‘Vannathirai’, ‘Cinema Express’ and he even wrote articles at ‘Dinamani’ as a freelancer.
Career
His first independent professional assignment as publicist was Ullaasam, recommended by the directors J.D. Jerry with whom he had worked with earlier in serials. Following the success, he worked for many other movies which include many Rajini hits too like Sivaji & Endhiran His association with filmmakers like Kamal Hassan, Shankar and Mani Ratnam gave him national wide reorganization.
