Niki Erlenmeyer-Kimling, Ph.D., D.Sc. (hon), is a Professor of Clinical Psychiatry, Department of Psychiatry (in Genetics & Development), Columbia University, and Chief of the Division of Genetics at New York State Psychiatric Institute.

Research

Her research interests include genetic aspects of mental disorders (mainly schizophrenia) and human behavior genetics generally. She has conducted longitudinal, prospective study of early indicators of later schizophrenia and a genetic-linkage, gene search study of schizophrenia in Croatia.

Honors

Her honors include Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Xi, Th.Dobzhansky Award in Behav. Genetics, National Institute of Mental Health Merit Award, Warren Schizophrenia Research Award, State University of New York SUNY hon. Doctorate of Science, Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Society of Psychiatric Genetics, and a NARSAD Distinguished Investigator Award.
