Nicholas Blundell of Little Crosby (1669–1737), Lord of the Manor of Little Crosby, Lancashire, is known for his diaries, which provide information on the life of the gentry in early 18th century England.

Nicholas was the son of William Blundell, who was known as ‘the Cavalier’ for his exploits during the English Civil War (his Cavalier’s note book, published in 1880 by the Rev. T. E. Gibson A Cavalier’s Note book, was referred to as a source by Antonia Fraser for her study of 17th Century Women in England The Weaker Vessel (Phonenix, London, 2002 paperback, originally published 1984).
