Contents

It offers passenger excursion trains along a line between Newport and Portsmouth where the line comes to an end just before the site of the former Sakonnet River rail bridge, which was dismantled in 2006.

The line currently operates a dinner train. The train has two 72-seat traditional dining cars and a 48-seat parlor/lounge car which functions as a cabaret.

In 2007, the dinner train purchased two former Wilton Scenic Railroad Budd RDCs for use on the new Islander Touring Train which will also be operated as a regularly scheduled passenger train between Newport and Portsmouth.

By February 25, 2013, the dinner train was posted for sale on the website of Sterling Rail, a broker for rail equipment sales.

It was sold November 1, 2014, and operates as the Newport and Narragansett Bay Railroad Company.
