The New Yalu River Bridge (Chinese: 新鸭绿江大桥) will be the third bridge over the Yalu River between Dandong, Liaoning Province, China, and Sinuiju, North Korea. It is a cable-stayed bridge, 20 km long including the supporting roads, and its construction began in October 2011.

Opening

The New Yalu River Bridge was originally slated to be opened in October 2014, but due to delays on the North Korean side, the opening has been postponed indefinitely, as the bridge's road currently ends on a field outside of Sinuiju, North Korea. The bridge reportedly cost China $350 million USD to build. According to Baidu, it should have been opened in the end of November 2015. All the border crossing staff and the tax station will be transferred to the new bridge when/if it opens. There is very little activity connected with the bridge.
