Founded in 1980, An Kang Senior High School is located in Xindian District, the southern part of New Taipei City, Taiwan. Covering a spacious campus of about 2.795 hectares, this school is a general senior high school with both junior high and pre-school department.

Originally, the school only established the junior high department. Due to the declining fertility, the scale of the junior high department decreases gradually. Recently, the junior high department totally recruits around 20 classes. The high school enrollment began in 1998 and simply recruited 4 regular classes at the earliest stage. Then, specialized athletics and special education classes are steadily added to the high school department. Beginning from 2014, each grade will recruit 11 classes. In three years, the school will develop into a medium-sized senior high school of 33 classes in total. The pre-school department was founded in 1999 and recruits 1 class.

Campus
The school is very close to the mountains and is surrounded by beautiful scenery with fresh air. To stimulate creative learning, An Kang has designed a series of creative lessons by utilizing the abundant natural resources in the region. The classrooms on the campus are not adjacent to the playing field, which ensures that activities on the playing field do not interfere with the delivery of education to students.
