Nereson Township was named for Knut Neresen, a Norwegian settler.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.3 square miles (93.9 km²), all of it land.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 69 people, 29 households, and 20 families residing in the township. The population density was 1.9 people per square mile (0.7/km²). There were 34 housing units at an average density of 0.9/sq mi (0.4/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 100.00% White.
There were 29 households out of which 27.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.0% were married couples living together, and 27.6% were non-families. 27.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
