Necrovore was an American extreme metal band active during the late 1980s. The band had only released a single 4-song demo, entitled Divus de Mortuus, which gained notoriety and a cult following in heavy metal tape trading circles. The band also had their song Slaughtered Remains re-released on the New Renaissance Records compilation Satan's Revenge Pt. 2 (1988).

The band was formed in San Antonio, Texas, in 1986. The original lineup of Necrovore included Jon DePlachett on vocals and guitar, Ross Stone on bass, Scott Humphrey on guitar, and Scott Staffney on drums.
