Early years and personal life
Iqbal belongs to the Pashtun ethnicity. Her fan base is primarily in Pakistan and Afghanistan, as well as being popular among Pashtuns abroad. Iqbal sings in several languages, including Pashto, Urdu, Punjabi, Dari and English. In 2005, she married a fellow performer, Javed Fiza, and settled with him in Maina Battan Lower Dir.
