Nazarlu

Nazarlu (Persian: نظرلو‎‎, also Romanized as Naz̧arlū and Nazarloo; also known as Nadar ‘Ali, Nadarlī, Nāder ‘Alī, and Nāderlī) is a village in Mishu-e Jonubi Rural District, Sufian District, Shabestar County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 4,984, in 1,169 families.

Nazarlu is the most populated village in the Sufian district.

Climate

Nazarlu has a Continental Mediterranean climate (Köppen: Csb), a variant of the Continental climate and Mediterranean climate. It is cold and snowy in winter and hot and dry in summer.

Culture

The religion of the people is Islam and the Islamic Holidays specially ٍEid al-Fitr(ending of Holy Ramadan), Ghadir and Eid al-Azha(Ghurban) are celebrated. Official calendar is Shamsi Hijri calendar and the first days of spring called yil-Bayrami or Nowruz Bayrami is highly celebrated. More than 70% of the population is educated and can speak in both Azerbaijani Turkish and Farsi-the official language of the country. There are many traditions from the past that are still alive in social and family relationships, marriage and Holidays. These traditions are rooted in the Azerbaijani-Turkish culture which are widely common in different areas of Azerbaijan.
