National Hearing Care is an Australian company that specialises in the provision of hearing healthcare services and products. It has over 190 clinics Australia wide in both metropolitan and regional areas. NHC, National Hearing Care, along with Bay Audiology, was acquired by the Amplifon Group in 2010.

History

National Hearing Care commenced operations with three clinics in 1997. From 2006 until 2010 National Hearing Care was owned by private equity groups Crescent Capital Partners and Macquarie Group.

In 2009 National Hearing Care bought the New Zealand competitor company Bay Audiology before several clinics were established in India in 2010. In September of that year, National Hearing Care was sold to the world’s largest audiology company Italian-based Amplifon for $460 million.

Products & Services

National Hearing Care offer a range of services to determine hearing abilities and treatments including hearing checks, to establish if there is hearing loss in the patient and diagnostic assessments, a detailed test for adults with an Audiology Clinician to pinpoint the cause and extent of hearing loss.

The company offers patients hearing solutions for all levels of hearing loss. NHC can perform hearing aid fittings for new users, repairs or maintenance for existing users, pre-employment hearing tests and follow up consultations and adjustments.
