To accomplish this, the National Genealogical Society provides educational programs, publishes several publications in the field of genealogy, and creates networking opportunities for its members. It is the publisher of the National Genealogical Society Quarterly, and the NGS Magazine. Annually, in conjunction with a sponsoring local genealogical society, it stages the "NGS Family History Conference."
