Professional career

Crosswell started his NBL career at the age of 20 with the Melbourne Tigers, and after a bit of moving around to the Victoria Titans/Giants and Cairns Taipans, he re-joined the Melbourne Tigers in 2007 to win an NBL championship, before joining the Townsville Crocodiles in 2010/11, where he averaged 5.6 points and 2 assists in 16 minutes per game.

After just one season with the Crocodiles, Crosswell signed a two-year deal with the Adelaide 36ers. He played just 9 games for the 36ers before a season ending Achilles tendon injury in round 10 against the New Zealand Breakers.

After recovering from his injury, Crosswell suited up for the 36ers in the 2012–13 NBL season and was named as co-captain of the team along with new recruit, Aussie Boomers 2012 London Olympian Adam Gibson.

Crosswell announced his retirement from the NBL on 20 March 2013, playing his 350th and last NBL game just three days later on 23 March. In his final game for the 36ers, Crosswell played 16:39 and scored 6 points on 3/6 shooting against the Wollongong Hawks in front of 4,512 fans at the WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong. He also led the team in assists on the night with two.

International career

Crosswell was named in the Australian Boomers squad in 2008.
