The village is located on the state highway of Manjeri-Calicut (Calicut-Nilambur-Gudalore), 3 km away from Manjeri (the municipal capital).

Narukara village is a predominantly Muslim populated area. Hindus exist in comparatively smaller numbers. So the culture of the locality is based upon Muslim traditions.
