Narma is a village. Its earlier name was Larma. It is situated at Paschim Medinipur district in West Bengal, India. It is at a distance of 45 km (approx) from Kharagpur town. It is almost half of way between the road (22 km), joining Makhrampur and Temathani. This road passes through it, dividing it into almost two equal parts. Balichak is the nearest railway station which is at a distance 30 km.
It is the birthplace of Srila Bhakti Kumud Santa Maharaja. He was a great monk. The founder of - Acharya of Sri Gauranga Math (Kesiary), Sri Chaitanya Ashram (Kharagpur, Puri, Calcutta) and Sri Gaur Saraswat Santa Gaudiya Math (Chhekati and Baradiya). This village gave birth of several freedom fighters, monks, musicians, doctors, engineers, scientists, politicians, etc.
