Narendra Prasad is an Indian social activist, thoracic surgeon and a former head of the department of surgery, Patna Medical College and Hospital. He is the founder trustee,a former vice president and the incumbent president of Arogya Bharati, a non governmental organization known for its Project, Healthy Village, a health project encompassing 250 villages in Bihar.

Prasad graduated in medicine from Patna Medical College and secured the higher degree of FRCS from the UK in 1962. He is a former president of the Association of Surgeons of India (Bihar chapter). The Government of India honoured him in 2015, with the award of Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award for his contributions to the field of medicine.
