Nardo skole is a primary school with grades 1-7. It is situated near the local ringway, in the middle of an industrial area, not far from the city's soccer stadium Lerkendal.

History

The area the school presides on was covered by farms owned by the Church up until 1924 when there was a large fire there. All the farms burnt down. After World War II, the area was split up into lots. In 1964, the municipality of Strinda (in which the area lay) was integrated into Trondheim, and in 1969, the school was built. Students earlier had to attend Nidarvoll. The school was one of the last classroom schools built in Trondheim and was built as a completely squared, two storey building in concrete and with a flat roof. In 1997, a smaller building in the same materials but with a more variable look was added to the building mass. This created a lot of closed spaces in the schoolyard, which allowed a small amphitheatre to be constructed.
